Entering the Season: Advent

On the First Sunday of Advent we begin a series called Entering the Season which will be offered at the beginning of Advent, Lent, and other seasons as a way for all generations at Trinity to deeply engage with the church’s seasons. These events are intended to provide you and your family with meaningful and practical ways to experience, learn about, and pray during these seasons.

After the 10:30 am Eucharist on December 2, we will share a meal and learn about the Season of Advent by building Jesse Trees. The Jesse Tree is a practice of adorning a tree with ornaments that represent the people, prophesies, and events leading up to Jesus’ birth. At this event, we will be making Jesse Trees for you to take home as you and your household engage Advent.

Everyone who plans to a trend is invited to bring a pot of soup to share for lunch. Please contact Sue Wilkins at swilkins@trinityepiscopal.org if you are willing to bring soup. Bread and drinks will be provided.

We hope you’ll save the date for the next Entering the Season as we prepare for Lent on March 3.
