On this page, we've tried to provide all the information you'll need to know if you visit us on a Sunday morning. If you still have questions, you can contact us, or don't hesitate to ask someone when you're here. Whoever you are, wherever you find yourself in life and faith, please know you are welcome to worship and share fellowship with us.

Worship

Our service times are 8:30 and 10:30 am. Both services follow the order for Holy Eucharist as set out in the Book of Common Prayer. At both services, we read from the Bible, hear a sermon, celebrate the Eucharist, and share consecrated bread and wine. At the 10:30 am service, we sing hymns and listen to beautiful anthems. The words of our prayers and the music we sing are drawn from our rich Anglican tradition.

Our bulletins have the service printed in them, so you can follow along and participate. The blue Hymnal 1982 contains the hymns we sing. If you get lost or do something “wrong,” don’t worry. One of your neighbors would be happy to help you out, or you can always sit back and let the liturgy unfold around you. Being present is much more important than being perfect. You can learn more about our worship and get information on weekday and seasonal services here.

Children

All children are welcome in worship. Children and youth may attend either service in the Nave with their parents, grandparents, or other guardians.

Additionally, our Sunday School programming for children aged 3+ occurs every week from 9:30 - 10:15 AM in the third floor classrooms of the Parish Hall. Our Youth Group, for youth in the 7th-12th grade, occurs on the second and fourth Sundays of the month during the same time block, 9:30 - 10:15 AM, in the third floor youth classroom.

If your children are noisy, that's okay! God put the wiggle in children; don't feel you must suppress it here. Some tips from fellow parents: sit toward the front; children will be more attentive when they can see what's going on. Explain the service. Help your child find the printed parts of the service and the hymns. Sing, pray, and respond; your child will learn by copying you. If your child needs to leave, feel free to step out or to use our nursery. Nursery care, provided by professional caregivers, is available from 8:15 AM - 12 PM each Sunday.

Coffee Hour

After both services on Sunday morning, time for coffee and fellowship occurs in the Clarkson Center. Additional treats are provided by cathedral volunteers after the 10:30 AM service. We would love for you to join us in fellowship!

Parking & Entering

There are several options for parking at Trinity. The parking meters surrounding the cathedral are free on Sundays. The Federal Building lot is always open; enter on Dodge between 18th and 19th Streets. On Sundays, parking is available at the neighboring Central Parking Garage from 8 AM to 2 PM for only $1.00; a credit card is required to use the automated attendant.

To attend worship, the best place to enter is through the bell tower doors on the corner of 18th Street and Capitol Avenue.
