Join us on Wednesday, September 28 at 5:45 PM for a special program on Deacon Ministry and Engagement, led by Deacon Rebecca Smith, from St. Augustine’s, Elkhorn. Deacon Rebecca will share with us about a prison ministry she established. The program, known as Read Me A Story, takes children’s books to incarcerated people so that they can be recorded reading a bedtime story to their child. The book and the recording are then mailed to the child. The goal is to build family ties, encourage literacy and provide hope.
