Beginning with a musical prelude at 3:45pm, we invite you to join us for Holy Eucharist with carols. The liturgy itself will start at 4:00pm with Bishop Barker presiding and preaching. Sing and pray with us on this holy night on Facebook Live at the Trinity Episcopal Cathedral Facebook page. Then, after that service, we invite you to drive down to 18th & Capitol for our Communion drive-up stations. You will be able to receive Communion, pick up some formation materials for everyone including chalk for Epiphany on January 6, donate new and unopened travel-sized toiletries, and offer healing prayers for yourself and the world. There will also be a way for you to make a financial gift, for which we are grateful. These stations will be offered from 5:00pm-6:30pm and all are welcome!
At 9:00pm, also on our Facebook page, we invite you to a service unlike any we regularly share in. This will be a candlelit, peaceful liturgy offered as a way to hear and pray with the story of Jesus’ birth in the midst of the hurried pace of our lives and the despair that feels all around. It is into a similar circumstance Jesus was born that day thousands of years ago and that he is born to us today. Light a candle at home and encounter the glad tidings of great joy in a peaceful, contemplative way later on Christmas Eve.
