The next mini-tour of Trinity’s beautiful nave will be a split series.
On Sunday, June 25th, after the 8:30 service, the Trinity’s Historical Society will present “The Selwyn Window.” The Great North Window in the cathedral is a memorial to the First Anglican Bishop of New Zealand, George Augustus Selwyn. He landed in Auckland, New Zealand in 1841, and began is missionary preaching among the natives.
Parishioners are invited to greet the clergy after the service and return to the pews for the presentation.
Come hear why Bishop Selwyn is important to Trinity and learn to interpret the symbolism of his window.
