Trinity Youth Group

Join our community of youth and mentors at Trinity Youth Group as we explore what it means to be Christ in the world. We are excited to welcome you to Trinity Youth Group!

 

When do we meet?

Trinity Youth Group meets from 11:45 AM - 12:45 PM on the first and third Sundays of every month. We meet in the third floor youth room for snacks and games, then move into program around noon. Any youth in the 5th-12th grade is welcome at Trinity youth group meetings! Upcoming meetings are listed below:

  • October 6th, 2019

  • October 20th, 2019

  • November 17th, 2019

  • December 15th, 2019

On days when there is not a meeting, snacks and games are still available in the third floor youth room for the first 15-20 minutes after the 10:30 AM Holy Eucharist. Youth may join the adult coffee hour after this time (youth in the Cantate Choir rehearse at 12:00 PM).

Members of Trinity Youth Group are invited to all of the following events and more! We work with other Episcopal churches in the Omaha area to provide an opportunity for Episcopal youth in Omaha to meet each other and form community.

*This event is limited to youth in the 9th-12th grade

Where: St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church

Meet our Youth Mentors

Abby Zimmerman

Abby is a Kansas native, and came to Omaha in the fall of 2018. She is currently a Residential Oblate of The Benedictine Way, and is the Director of Children, Youth, and Family Ministries here at the cathedral. Abby has worked and volunteered in youth and campus ministry for 4 years in both the Episcopal Diocese of Kansas and Nebraska. She has found Omaha to be a second home, and is passionate about what she does in forming the young people of Trinity as disciples of Christ. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities, playing piano, and art.

Chris Gerhardt

Chris is also a Kansas native who moved to Omaha in the summer of 2018. Chris has spent time living on both the East and West coasts, but most recently relocated from Boston’s North Shore. He is a father of three children, and has been a professional instructor for mixed martial arts since 2011. Chris is also a motivational speaker who specializes in Anti Bully campaigns at the Elementary, Middle, and High school levels. He is passionate about building confidence in young people, and believes that we as disciples of Christ, should treat one another with compassion and respect. In his free time, he enjoys exploring nature, reading, recreational sports, and sharing good food with great people.
