Get Involved in Children, Youth, and Family Ministry
We would love for you to be part of our team!
Volunteer at Children’s Chapel
Join us once a month for Children’s Chapel during the 10:30 Eucharist. Listen to Gospel stories and the stories of saints, and help our kids learn about how we can be Jesus in the world.
Children’s Chapel volunteers are people who enjoy storytelling, who want to connect with kids of all ages, and who want to help make our faith & tradition more accessible for children & youth.
Time Commitment: 20-25 minutes on your selected Sundays
Assist with Sunday School
Join us at Sunday School between the services to help us tell the stories of Scripture and learn about what we believe as Christians. Volunteer to be a classroom aid or join our teacher team!
Sunday School teachers are people who feel called to share their faith and learn together with our children & youth. It’s a rewarding ministry filled with learning, laughter, and creativity!
Classroom aids assist Sunday School teachers in their ministry and classroom management.
Time Commitment: 1-2 hrs, once or twice per month
Staff a Youth Event
Join us for a lock-in, retreat, or trip to the pumpkin patch with youth in the 5th-12th grade. Help our youth build community and enter into more mature conversations about their faith.
Youth Event staff members are people who want to connect with older youth and facilitate learning and fun! Each event is unique and will allow youth and volunteers to connect with other Episcopalians in the Omaha area.
Time Commitment: Varies by event
Become a Youth Group Mentor
JJoin us at Trinity Youth Group for our regular meetings on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. Stay after the 10:30 Eucharist for snacks, games, and program with youth in the 5th-12th grade.
Youth Group Mentors are people who want to connect with older youth and help them engage their faith on a deeper level. Mentors are good listeners, value youth opinions & ideas, and like to have fun!
Time Commitment: 1 hr, once or twice per month
Join Our Support Team
Make a difference behind the scenes. Support Team members help supply food at youth events and assist with setup and cleanup. Support Team members are the reason our programs are possible!
Support Team Members understand the importance of all kinds of work and feel called to provide the “support” beams of our program structure.
Time Commitment: Varies. Team members select which events and programs they assist with. Expect 1-3 hrs. of work for each event.
